Laurie & Brennan Attorneys Conduct Mock Trial at CFMA National Conference

Ryan Hiss, Kendall Woods, Marissa Downs, and Phil Beyer of Laurie & Brennan conducted a mock trial at the CFMA National Conference on May 14^th in Atlanta on legal matters near and dear to the construction financial manager’s heart. The trial addressed payment applications, change orders, field directives, liquidated damages, labor inefficiencies, delays, and other common disputes and obstacles to getting paid. The audience served as jurors and, after deliberations, reached a verdict together. After the verdict, the trial team offered tips and answered questions to assist participants in avoiding payment and change order disputes and overcoming payment obstacles.
