Construction Finance Professionals – Mark Your Calendars!

The 2017 Midwest Regional Conference Committee of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) is providing some incredible learning and networking opportunities at its upcoming CFMA Midwest Regional Conference.

The CFMA Midwest Regional Conference is Thursday, September 28, 2017.  This jam-packed full-day event is focused on providing educational sessions that offer something for all levels of Construction Financial Professionals.   This year, the conference agenda includes two sessions featuring experienced construction attorneys from Laurie & Brennan, LLP.

On Thursday morning, Laurie & Brennan’s own Krista Kapp and Ryan Hiss will present “Effective Contract Negotiation for the Financial Manager.”  The Laurie & Brennan team will share their contract negotiation tips and strategies.  When the session is finished, participants will be better prepared to identify the clauses that matter and to achieve as fair of a contract document as possible.

Ryan Hiss will be back Thursday afternoon with Bill Toliopoulos to present the 2017 Changes to the AIA Contract Documents.  This session will explore the important differences between the AIA 2007 construction contracts and the AIA 2017 construction contracts so participants can better negotiate these documents for use on their own projects.
