Marissa Downs Selected as a Member of the ABA Forum on Construction Law’s 2023 Diversity Fellowship Class

Laurie & Brennan is pleased to announce that Partner Marissa Lynn Downs has been selected as a member of the ABA Forum on Construction Law’s 2023 Diversity Fellowship class. Marissa was one of four honorees to receive the 3-year fellowship out of a nationwide selection process. The Forum awards Diversity Fellowships to women and minority construction lawyers, construction lawyers with disabilities, and construction lawyers from the LGBT community who have demonstrated themselves to be potential candidates for future Forum leadership.  

Marissa Downs is a seasoned construction litigator who focuses her practice at L&B on complex construction, product liability, and other technical-commercial disputes. Outside of the firm, Marissa is active in a variety of professional and civic organizations. She is a member of Professional Women in Construction, the Coalition of Women in the Law, and the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago.
